Kashif
Founder & CEO
Kashif won the hearts of millions of music lovers through his pioneering sound which dominated R&B charts in the 80’s. What many do not know is that he has a passion for helping foster children. His recordings have sold over 70 million worldwide and he has produced smash hits for the likes of Whitney Houston, Kenny G, George Benson and Barry White just to name a few. His greatest accomplishment - the one closest to his heart is yet to come. As the CEO founder of iCare Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to changing the image of foster care and improving the quality of life for children in the foster care system. Having never known his biological parents and persevering through abandonment, abuse and eight foster homes, Kashif knows first hand the importance of providing children with a loving and stable living environment. He is committed to making substantial differences in the lives of the hundreds of thousands of children in the foster care system. For years, Kashif has been a mentor to foster kids and has worked with agencies such as Casey Family Programs and the Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS). Earlier this year he traveled to Sacramento as a part of a team who helped secure an additional $83 million dollars to the California State budget and he is also working with local and national politicians to help change legislature. |
